PPA Cover - other schools sports provision
Boston United Community Foundation has real expertise in the implementation and delivery of PPA cover within schools in Lincolnshire and surrounding area.
We are a professional sports provision provider that specialises in delivering a high standard of coaching to meet schools sporting needs.
Many schools are looking to sport as a way of covering PPA to develop children’s sports provision. Our qualified coaches provide non-contact time for teachers whilst enhancing the school’s curriculum, allowing teachers to spend 10% of their teaching time away from the class for planning, preparation and assessment time for lessons.
We deliver fully inclusive sessions that adhere to an inclusion policy, working with open games for all, modified games and parallel games that develops every child at all levels of ability in conjunction with the ‘every child matters’ policy. As a scheme we look to inspire young people through physical education and are committed to ensure schools receive the best provision for key stage 1, 2 and 3 pupils.
The programme has a designed structure – providing professional and sustainable solutions to PPA, helping to enrich and extend school curriculum in physical education. We follow our own scheme of work, following the National Curriculum, Val Sabin guidelines and the QCA – covering games which are part of P.E. curriculum, including:
Invasion games
Striking and fielding games
Net wall court games
Athletics.
We can also tailor lesson plans to fit school requirements if they have specific targets for a class, and strive to form a good rapport with young people.
At Boston United, we look to constantly adapt our coaching styles so that it suits all coaching sessions. It is important that the skills and enthusiasm shown from our coaches empower young people to enjoy and learn from every P.E lesson.
We currently offer half or full day support to help fulfil and provide an effective solution for school P.E curriculum needs..

Breakfast Clubs
We offer breakfast clubs that are set out to engage and stimulate children to get them ready for the school day. These clubs can act as a great service for the school, offering parents an option to drop off their children earlier than the normal day if needed at a fraction of childcare prices.
This great provision provides the school with an early morning support for parents that combine sport, nutrition, health and creative action packed mornings. These types of service can be for a one off morning - or a different club each morning of the week. These clubs offer a range of sporting activities, creative tasks and team building exercises for all abilities, helping develop social aspects of a child’s characteristics.
If your school does not have a breakfast club, then you should definitely consider this great initiative!
We can tailor our breakfast clubs to the needs of your school and we are very flexible in our approach to meet a schools action plan. We can also take care of the breakfast club communication with parents so there is no impact to the school office.
Lunchtime Clubs
Boston United offer a unique opportunity to assist schools with the task of managing their staff’s extra-curricular provision during lunchtime hours.
Lunchtime Clubs for schools are a great way to engage with the children and organise structured fun activities for 45 to 60 minutes.
These sessions can help develop balance and a child’s mental state throughout the day and learning in the classroom. We have have seen significant growth with the amount of sessions being delivered during this period of the school day.
How Boston United Community Foundation can help your school at lunchtime:
We provide schools with structured coaching activities that allow pupils to build up an appetite, let off some steam and enjoy a fun filled coaching session during their lunch break.
Teach your children to be playground leaders.
Sessions are made enjoyable over a shorter period, emphasising on being active along with promoting positive behaviour and development in challenging games.
Coaches can engage with all levels and show enthusiasm to get involved for their social development and commit to meet high standards of delivery.
Gives the school an extra source of supervision to conduct a wide range of sports on a regular basis.
No checks need to be conducted due to all staff holding a DBS, safeguarding children and emergency first aid qualification.
After School Clubs
