Premier League Primary Stars - Educational Campaigns

Social Action

This project is designed to empower and engage children who have the desire to make a real difference in their school and local community. It is aimed at all school years, and children who have a passion for making a change to their school or local community. There will be six sessions that are designed and tailored around the children’s thoughts and ideas. Project ideas could include climate change, littering, single use plastic, mental health and so on.

The overall goals of the project are to make a positive impact on the school or local community and inspire and engage pupils to make a change.

Education Activators

These sessions are aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding around a particular issue or topic, and will help to inspire children to make positive choices around these topic areas. They can be for targeted groups, split between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, for any school year or whole school involvement.

The project can be led through assemblies, workshops or half day sessions, concentrating on a variety of topics including Anti-Bullying, Wellness, Kick It Out / No Room for Racism, Safer Internet campaigns, Mental Health Awareness and World Book Day.

The overall goals are to help increase understanding of topics, and inspire and motivate.

Collapsed Curriculum Days & Educational Stadium Visits

Boston United Community Foundation provide opportunities for school groups to book educational visits to The Jakemans Community Stadium to help inspire and develop the learning of pupils by using the Football Club as a resource. The Jakemans Stadium in Wyberton is the home of the Pilgrims – a fun, informative club with some great history.

This project is aimed at any school year or can be tailored to suit a targeted group of children. Schools can choose the duration of their visit, and they can choose the focus of their visit (for example, it can be PSHE related, Reading with Percy, The History of Boston United and so on). There are also opportunities for a practical activity on the 3G pitch.

Stadium visit will feature a stadium tour of our grounds, including pitch side, home and away dressing rooms, dugouts, community hub, board room and Hospitality suites. The remainder of the day is dictated by the visitor’s request. For example: we can tailor visits to focus on our football department, with talks from relevant members of staff. Our staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic who have the passion to make you have a great experience and learn more about your local football club.

The overall goals are to inspire pupils, to promote engagement and help with learning in a different way.

Fundraising Events

Schools can host one of our activities designed to raise funds for the school and BUFCCF. This could be used to help the school, for example, purchase new equipment.

Children can participate in fun, engaging activities whilst contributing towards the cost of future activities and sessions. These events can involve the whole school or just selected year groups of the school’s choice and could be a half or full day, with funds split 50/50 and prizes for the overall winners.

We will hold an assembly explaining the rules and more importantly advising children how to gain their sponsors. All administration is also completed by us. Activities could include a penalty shootout against Percy Penguin or a Target Goal competition.

Prizes could include a certificate of achievement, trophy for the highest scoring individual in each year group, or a signed Boston United first team replica shirt.

The overall goals are to help engage children in Physical Activity, help raise funds and increase future opportunities for engagement.

Fun days and Summer Galas

We can also come along and help at School fun days or Summer Galas. We can run competitions, and help assist with presentations at the event. We are also open to getting involved in other capacities that would aid in helping the school generate some extra income.
