Premier League Primary Stars - P.E. Training and CPD for Teachers

Supporting Teachers

This programme is bespoke to individual teachers to help ensure that they get the maximum benefit and support where it is needed to help develop their P.E. delivery, and is aimed at both Teachers and Higher Teaching Assistants.

The block is delivered over a six-week period, and will give support through practical P.E. lessons, a variety of resources to help with P.E delivery, questionnaires and support meetings.

The goals of the project is to help increase confidence in delivering high quality P.E. and build upon teacher and TA knowledge of the subject.

Continuous professional development (CPD) and Sport Coaching Workshops

Delivered by our highly qualified staff members, we can offer teachers a variety of tailored in school training and coaching platforms on how to deliver high quality P.E. lessons and to feel confident when teaching sport. This project is aimed at helping Teachers, Teaching Assistants and staff members who deliver P.E, and is a process that has two or more professionals that work together to reflect on current practices that meets the national curriculum.

The support we can offer will help to expand, build new skills and solve barriers to fun sports delivery that can hinder further sport in schools. This involves working closely with teachers and coaches, helping gain experience and use appropriate techniques to improve curriculum teaching and planning

The project can feature Twilight INSETs, a selection of session plans, demonstration of high-quality P.E. and differentiation of skills to help support those of all abililties. We can also produce observation records, and give ideas and CPD development for your teachers. We can also demonstrate next steps for a child to aim for to achieve continuous levels of sporting development.

The overall goal is to help develop confidence, knowledge and skills to be able to deliver high quality P.E. and Physical Activity.

What teachers have to say …

“The staff are very approachable and quickly build excellent relationships with children and fellow staff members....with a good balance of activity, input, fun and discipline.”

“The support outside of our normal contracted hours is greatly appreciated!”

Sports Day Events

We can help ensure your annual sports day runs smoothly, and successfully meets all your school’s aspirations. We believe in providing sports days for schools that help demonstrate to parents the success of their children’s development over the curriculum year. It also removes the worry of having to organise one of the most stressful dates in the school calendar.

These are traditional events that all schools need to deliver, and have an emphasis on fun rather than the sport prowess – making the event inclusive. Activities can include sack race, egg and spoon, skipping, tug of war, three legged race, hoop race, obstacle race and more …

Schools can specify exactly what they would like from the day, and then we can organise the structure and delivery of the Sports Day event. The main aim of doing this for schools is to manage the balance between encouraging fair play, teamwork, sportsmanship and giving a fun competitive element that keeps children engaged.

We can also offer support with Secondary School Sports Days on request that includes conventional track and field sports that can need extra help with things like recording and so on.
