About the Role:
As the Head of Football Development, you will be the cornerstone of our Football Development Department, overseeing everything from our Academy and Community teams and grassroots programmes. This role is perfect for a creative leader ready to build and implement long-term strategies that align with our club’s ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive football development strategy with clear short, medium, and long-term goals.

  2. Player Pathway: Identify and nurture talent, supporting players' progression through structured pathways to the U23 and First Team, for both men's and women's squads.

  3. Excellence in Coaching: Ensure quality coaching delivery across all teams, aligning with our club’s philosophy.

  4. Team Leadership: Inspire and manage coaching staff, fostering a high-performance culture through regular reviews and development programs.

  5. Community Integration: Organise talent ID and build robust relationships with local clubs and schools to drive recruitment for U19 squads.

  6. Safety and Wellbeing: Serve as the Lead Safeguarding and Health and Safety Officer, ensuring the highest standards of welfare for all participants.

  7. Female Pathway Development: Champion the growth and development of our female football pathway, ensuring opportunities and support for our female players.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications: UEFA B (essential), UEFA A (desirable), along with relevant safeguarding and first aid certifications.

  • Experience: Proven success in elite football environments with a track record in developing and implementing football philosophies and coaching programs.

  • Skills: Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership abilities, with a strong passion for football and player development.

  • Commitment: Dedication to safeguarding, equality, and continuous professional growth.
